Homeopathic remedies are made by a specialised process, called “potentisation”. This process, which is unique to homeopathy, involves a step by step process of diluting and shaking an original drug substance which enhances or potentises its medicinal effects.
The substance from which the remedy is to be prepared is either dissolved into a tincture or ground into a powder and then a tincture is made.
The remedies are sourced from many different places: the plant or animal kingdoms, minerals, disease states or even pharmaceutical drugs. You can virtually make a homeopathic remedy from any substance and there are currently over 4000 homeopathic remedies that have been proved and used worldwide.
All homeopathic remedies are proved singly and on healthy human beings. No animals are used in testing.
